Orthodontic treatment for children
The British Orthodontic Society recommends children have their first orthodontic consultation between the ages of seven and eleven while their teeth and jaws are still developing.
Private treatment for children at any age
If your child does not qualify for orthodontic treatment under the NHS or they do not want to wait on a waiting list, we can still treat them as a private patient.
This brings added benefits of:
- No restriction of the appliance used, ie metal, white, gold braces, invisalign or lingual braces.
- Your child can be treated right away as there are no waiting lists for private treatment.
- Appointments can be made in the evenings and after work or school If you are under 18 but do not qualify for treatment under the NHS, we can offer metal braces for a reduced fee of £3000. This includes all appointments, x-rays and removable plastic retainers. Additional fees apply if treatment is complicated.
